About Us

Green tea gained a lot of popularity on account of its health benefits over past few years. However, people tend to give it up due to it's bitter taste. Also, Green tea on it's own does not provide solution to specific health needs.

On the other hand, Indian Ayurvedic formulations provide solutions to specific health issues, and have been time proven. These health issues include basic wellness needs e.g immunity system, digestion, slimming, detoxification, relaxation, skin and hair to chronic issues e.g. Diabetes, High BP, Blood Purification, Gas and Acidity, Joint Pain, Cardio etc.

Budwhite Teas Pvt Ltd makes use of Ayurvedic formulations, and refines the same to add tea leaves and to improve taste. The product range covers general wellness issues to major health issues.

Ayurvedic medicines are typically in the form of tablets, capsules, syrup and powder. People take these with a feeling of medicine, and tend to stop taking these medicines as soon as they recover a little bit. On the other hand, these herbal formulation don't provide a feeling of medicine in the form of teas, provided the taste is good. Also, the absorption of these herbs is better in the form of hot tea in comparison to traditional tablets and capsules often taken with cold water.

Budwhite Teas have a wide range of products:

-  Wellness: Slimming and Detoxification (SlimTox), Immunity System, Refreshing, Relaxation, Digestion, Skin and Hair, Multi-Purpose

-  Anti-Illness: Diabetes, High BP, Blood Purification, Acidity, Constipation, Joint Pain, Cardio, Mother lactation, Thyroid, Women PCOD etc

Additionally there is a wide range of Gourmet teas that combine various teas with fruits, flowers, herbs and spices to suit individual taste and provide a great aesthetic appeal.

All these products are available in Budwhite, Green+ and Tea Floor brands. Various product ingredients are sourced from the best of the places in India and outside, and are of best quality. The teas used are of premium grades. Herbs are properly sterilized to ensure good shelf life.

The company also makes pyramid and filter paper teabags. We also do private labeling and make ready to sell products in client branding.

Health Benefits of Tea

All of us know tea is good for health. But how? While many of these health benefits have not been fully established systematically to be scientifically accepted, there is vast information available on internet and other sources of information that indicate and advocate of enormous health benefits of tea.

Helps you fight cancer:

  • The anti-oxidants present in tea, called Polyphenols, are far more superior to any anti-oxidant in fruits and vegetables and help to control the damage to cells, thus offering protection against cancer.

Safeguards brain cells:

  • Tea lowers chances of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s diseases by preventing death of brain cells.

As a weight loss routine:

  • Tea boosts the metabolism rate, speeds up fat oxidation and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance. It also increases the production of heat by the body and hence increases energy expenditure and helps in weight loss. Drinking a few cups of tea a day can do wonders to your waistline!

Keeps you young:

  • Tea has well documented effects in combating the aging process and it helps to delay lines and wrinkles. So toss those beauty products away for a natural glow!

As a brain booster:

  • Tea helps you concentrate and focus. This effect is said to be due to the amino acid L-theanine which gets absorbed in your gut and travels in the blood to your brain. So those long hours on the computer aren’t quite so draining!

As a stimulant:

  • Teas contain caffeine and theanine, which stimulate the brain and heighten mental alertness. But unlike coffee, it is a calming drink which wakes you up without getting you hyper like coffee.

Boosts immune system:

  • Theanine in tea helps the body's immune system respond when fighting infection, by boosting the disease-fighting capacity of gamma delta T cells. Tea also possesses anti-bacterial properties by disruption of a specific stage of the bacterial DNA replication process. Trials with tea-drinkers as compared to coffee consumers found that the production of anti-bacterial proteins was up to five times higher in the tea-drinkers!

Cheers you up:

  • Studies have linked tea consumption with reduction in psychological distress. It also reduces the stress hormone in the body. So lighten up!

Keeps your breath fresh:

  • Phenolic compounds in tea inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause bad breath.

Keeps your heart healthy:

  • Studies have proven regular intake of tea reduces ‘bad’ cholesterol and lowers blood pressure.

And your teeth!

  • Tea contains fluoride, which helps to prevent cavities and strengthens tooth enamel. So bottoms up for those pearly whites!
  • The extent of health benefits does, however depends heavily on the type of tea. The more processed the tea leaves, the less the polyphenol content and hence lower the anti-oxidizing power.

Brewing Instructions

Producing the perfect cup of tea is a tricky process. If not handled properly, those same polyphenols that provide health benefits can ruin the flavor, making the tea taste “grassy” or bitter.

The traditional method of making a cup of tea is to place loose tea leaves, either directly or in a tea infuser and pour hot water over the leaves. After a couple of minutes the leaves are usually removed again, either by removing the infuser, or by straining the tea while serving.

The best temperature for brewing tea depends on its type. Teas that have little or no oxidation period, such as a green or white tea, are best brewed at lower temperatures, between 65 and 85 °C (149 and 185 °F), while teas with longer oxidation periods should be brewed at higher temperatures around 100 °C (212 °F). The higher temperatures are required to extract the large, complex, flavorful phenolic molecules found in fermented teas. Never use boiling water to prepare your white or green tea. Water at this temperature will cook the leaves and destroy the tea and its flavor, creating a bitter tasting tea. Steeping time should be balanced with water temperature: the lower the temperature, the longer the tea can be steeped. Use approximately 2 grams of tea per cup to make a perfect tasting tea (1 teaspoon for a 6 to 8 oz. cup). You can use leaves for more than one infusion, and this is a common practice throughout the world.

Also, when you are bringing water to a complete boil, do not boil it for too long. This will deplete the oxygen in the water too much, and your tea won't taste as nice. This is also the reason why you need to use fresh water every time you are making tea - because with repeated boiling the oxygen in the water gets depleted. Here is the table to help you make that perfect cup !

Why Us

Budwhite Teas is creating a brand around the healthy teas in multiple ways:

  • The teas are from reputed organic tea gardens that provide classical teas. We sell only organic tea leaves. Any fruit, spices and flower flavoring is 100% natural.
  • Only whole leaf teas are used that retain high amount of anti-oxidants. The anti-oxidants fundamentally drive most of the health benefits.
  • The herbal teas are made of herbs produced in Himalayan valley. These are fully organic, and large cut herbs that provide richer flavor and health benefits.
  • Tea is best brewed in loose form. For convenience, we also provide tea in 'pyramid tea bags' that allow space for whole tea leaves to expand.
  • Since the teas are 'whole leaf' teas, these are recommended to be reused (white tea 3-4 times, Green and Oolong tea 2-3 times, Black tea 2 times, Herbal teas 1-2 times).
  • We don't blend the teas (mixing various tea leaves). Most of the teas available in the market are blended with strong flavored and low cost tea leaves to maintain same taste all throughout the year while optimizing the cost. The taste of original tea varies significantly from tea garden to tea garden. Also, the teas picked up from the same tea garden over the year vary in taste significantly! Budwhite tea retains the original taste of the teas, and avoids blending.
